He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew S. Matasovsky and Mary Matasovsky (Wiezorek); his daughter Ardyce (Freking); and his siblings, Milton Matasovsky, Donald Matasovsky and Ruth Matasovsky.
He is survived by: his sons, John Matasovsky (Debra) of Truman, Minnesota and Harlan Matasovsky (Debra) of Storm Lake, Iowa; his son-in-law Mike Freking of Buffalo Lake, Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Kevin Matasovsky (Audrey), Christopher Matasovsky (Emily), Jenny Volkenant, Eric Freking (Beatriz), Dan Freking, Kim Haluska (Mike), Kristin Benson (Derek), Tim Matasovsky (McKenzie), Katie Rogeles (John) and Ryan Matasovsky (Shannon). He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
