He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Olson and Ovedia Olson (Lindstrom); his sister Marlys; his sister-in-law June Olson; his nephew Mark; and his niece Debbie Nelson.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Bergquist; his sons, Kyle Olson (Samantha) and Chad Olson (Amy); his grandchildren, Brittany (Nathaniel Silva), Drew and Carly Sue; his stepgrandchildren, Tabitha, Sabrina and David; and his siblings, Arlo Olson, Lyden Olson (Pat), LaVay Stover (Ed) and Sandra Faus. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
