She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrich Carter and Tillie Carter (Saiger); and her husband Miles Kohout. She is survived by: her children, Kim Zimmer of West Fargo, ND, Kris Quackenbush (Bruce) of Chokio, MN and Kraig Kohout of Wahpeton, ND; her grandchildren, Derrick, Jamie, Eric, Corey, Carly and Crystal; her great grandchildren, Makaylah, Nathaniel and Carson; and her brother Dale Johnson of Burnsville, MN. She is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cormorant Lutheran Church (14314 Co Hwy 4, Lake Park, MN 56554). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
