He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Gilberts and Evelyn Gilberts (Koska); his granddaughter Lila; his grandparents, Sam, Mable Gilberts, Ed and Rose Koska; and his siblings-in-law, Matt Fix, Toni Strecker and Lois Gilberts.
He is survived by: his son Josh; his wife Peggy; his sons, Joshua (Chantel) of Lake Lillian, Justin (Jodi) of Renville, Michael (Heather) of Blomkest and Nathan (Breanna) of Bird Island; his grandchildren, Kenzie, Dalton, Dylan, Isabel, Isaac, Paisley, Wyatt and Ronan; and his siblings, Darlene Fix Bob, Gary, Lyle and LuAnn Gilberts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to Knute Nelson Hospice or American Cancer Society.
