With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlys Portinga (Lake Lillian, Minnesota), born in Hector, Minnesota, who passed away on October 12, 2018 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Ahl and Evelyn Ahl (Brown); her husbands, Lloyd Sing and Floyd Portinga; her sons, Cricket Sing, Kent Sing and Mark "Sparky" Sing; and her siblings, Doris Sing, Ray Ahl, Jerry Ahl and Corky Ahl.
She is survived by: her children, Michael, Kevin Sing of Bird Island, Janelle, Russell of Manhattan, KS and David Sing; her grandchildren, Nathan, Danube, Damian Sing, Ham Lake, Mandi, Young, Olivia, Nicholas Sing, Prinsburg, Jackie Carmichael of Istanbul, Turkey, Catherine Carmichael of Kansas City, MO, Jamison and Christian Carmichael of Moorhead; and her sister Wanda Hixon of Willmar. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
