He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn; and his siblings, Frank, Bob, Jack and Charlotte.

He is survived by: his sons, Bob (Luann), Jim (Deb) and Bill (Patty); his grandchildren, Brian (Jess), Rachel, Kristin (Joe), Andy and Jon (Christina); and his great grandchildren, Emma, Nolan and Brady.

Memorial contributes may be made to the University of Notre Dame.
