Fred Schmidt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Schmidt of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, who passed away on February 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schmidt and Martha Schmidt (Hintz); his wife LaVon Preston; his in-laws, Leo and Gladys Preston; and his siblings, Bob, Rose, Bill, Lois, Dave, Kathleen and Mary.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim and Mike; his grandchildren, Brian, Alicia, Jordanne, Alexzandra and Samuel; his great grandchildren, Rayne, Charlie, Addison and Noah; and his brother Richard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
At Jim's request memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church Education or Arbor Glen Senior Living.
