It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Hope Butson of Lake Crystal, Minnesota, born in Vernon Center, Minnesota, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Park Malvin and Vilma Malvin (Francis); her husband Robert D. Butson; and her sister Sarah Miller. She is survived by: her daughters, Roxanne Schuler of Lake Crystal and Kimberly Butson of Duluth; her granddaughters, Jennifer Schuler (Kevin Ostermann) of Nicollet and Emily Schuler of St. Louis Park; her great grandchildren, James, Jack and Lauren Larson of Elko; and her siblings, Marion Hageman of Torrington, WY, Maureen Hubbard of Farmington, Bill Malvin of Carlos and Donna Soller of Le Sueur. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Cornerstone UMC.
