He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Fischer and Gertrude Fischer (Simon). He is survived by: his wife Betty Asleson; his children, Dawn Yenish (Tom) of Mankato and Wade Fischer (Michelle) of Mankato; his grandchildren, Sarah of Mankato, Lauren of Mankato, Adam Yenish of Mankato and Tevyn Schmidt of Mankato; his siblings, Kenneth Fischer (Annie) of New Ulm and Doreen Schmitt (Gerold) of New Ulm; and his siblings-in-law, Truman Asleson (Barb Smith) of Howard Lake and Carol Asleson of New Ulm. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the MDHA Bend of the River Chapter and the Nora Unitarian Universalist Church.
