He was predeceased by: his parents, Lauren Edwin Betcher and Evelyn Johanna; his son John A. Betcher; and also, Emil and Lorraine Sommerfield.
He is survived by: his wife Adeline Betcher; his children, James Betcher, Lori Betcher-Holland and Josh Betcher (Sara); his sisters, Janette Ecklund, Shirley Rosener (Jack) and Sylvia Hoffman-Franke; his brother-in-law Roderick Sommerfield (Gail); and his caregiver Jakki Browneyes. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church. A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
