He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Gitzen and Jospehine Gitzen. He is survived by: his daughter Jenifer Gitzen; and his siblings, Jerome, James, Janet Reid, Christine, Karen Ryba and Julie Apikelis (Pierrot). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
