He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Braun and Sara Braun; his brother Jacob Braun (Susan); his wife Helen Braun; his children-in-law, Byron Johnson and Kristi Braun; and his siblings, Ernst, Peter, Helena, Anna, Maria and Elisabeth.
He is survived by: his former wife Helena Krahn; his children, Brad Braun (Melissa), Angela Stromgren (Dean), Peggy Porter (Steven) and Polly Johnson (Peter); and his siblings, Sara Nickel (Henry), Nettie Heide (George), Henry Braun (Marlene) and Isaac Braun (Sheila). He is also survived by father and grandfather, raising his children.
