He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Olson and Alida Olson (Larson); his wife Jeanne Quain; his daughter Mary; and his uncle Kenneth Olson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Erickson (Michael) of Lodi, CA, Kristen Mattie (Michael) of Colorado Springs, CO and Sarah Walesh (Adam) of Menomonie, WI; his grandchildren, Charlie, Danielle, David, Julia, Michelle, Christopher and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Bradley, Abigail, Charlie and Blair; and his brother Eugene Olson of La Crescent.
Face coverings will be required and social distancing observed.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to The Pump House or the La Crosse Society of the Arts.
