He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Flatten and Palma Flatten (Johnson); his former wife Sherry; his brothers, Arlyn and Ronald Flatten; and his brother-in-law Dick Breiseth.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Flatten (Caroline) of La Crosse and Kirk Flatten (Colleen) of Onalaska; his grandchildren, Kelly Sherfield of Holmen, Jacob, Emily, Benjamin, Nathan, Annmarie (Alexandra Flatten), Tessa and Mackenzie (Zachary Sherfield); his sister JoAnne Breiseth of Aurora; his sisters-in-law, Donna Flatten of La Crosse and Edith Flatten of Jolliet; his stepsons, Alan Iverson (Amber), Michael Iverson, Scott Iverson (Kelly) and Paul Iverson (Lori); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristen, Alex, Cole, Tyler, Tanner, Savannah, Samantha, Amanda, Autumn, Kyler and Kaitlyn; and his great grandchild Aspen.
