He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hafner and Matilda Hafner (Schmidt); and his brothers-in-law, Harry Nunemacher and Tom Bettis. He is survived by: his former wife Deborah Schultz; his pets, Dexter and Annie; his brother Danny; his girlfriend Sue Horihan of La Crescent; his daughters, Denae Coates (David) of Arvada, CO and Tiffany Ramirez (Jose) of Madison, TN; his grandchildren, Harper and Damon Coates; his partner's children, Ryan Horihan (Ashleigh) and Teri Kennelly (Michael); his siblings, Gerri Nunemacher, Kathy Graf, Bernita Bettis, Mary Hafner, Jeannie Meyer (Al Brohmer) and Dan Hafner (Tiny); and also, Dylan, Jude Horihan, Rowan, Lochlan Kennelly, David Von Arx (Missy) and Karen Petersen (Ron). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and too many great friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Peter's Church or the Gittens Leidel American Legion Post 595.
