It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita G. Brown of La Crescent, Minnesota, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Palmer Hoveland and Amy Hoveland (Lee); her brothers, Lee and Richard; her husband Pierce "Perry" Brown; and her son-in-law Joseph Hengel.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Hengel and David Brown; her grandchildren, Joey Hengel (Brittney) and Jason Hengel (Ali); and her great grandchildren, Sawyer Swenson, Tauriel Swenson, Liara Swenson and Emma Hengel.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home (111 S Oak St, La Crescent, MN 55947). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
