He is survived by: his wife Ardith Engstler; his children, Ellen Blank of La Crescent, Gary Amsrud of La Crosse, Kevin Amsrud (Patty) of Dillsburg, PA and Julie Peterson of La Crescent; his grandchildren, Ryan Blank (Amy), Jennifer Chapman (Jake), Tyler Blank, Alyssa, Morgan, Evan Amsrud, Jordan, Noah and Nick Peterson; his sister-in-law Donna Amsrud of Minneapolis; and his niece Cheryl Amsrud of La Crosse. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
