James Mitchell Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Mitchell of La Crescent, Minnesota, who passed away on February 4, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Mitchell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albin Mitchell and Eileen Mitchell (Lunke); his former wife Sandy; and his brother David Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Karen Starch; his daughter Kim Sather; his grandchildren, Austin, Mason and Madeline; his son Chad (Carol); his grandchildren, Cassandra and Owen (Karen); his great grandchildren, Tara Young, Tabithe Dayton, Tessa Loken (Perry) and Tia Woodard (Eric); his grandchildren, Andrew, Abigail, Griffith, Tavian, Mark, Ingrid, Sonja, Amelia and Stella; and his great grandchildren, Aurora, Axel, Juniper and Delilah. He is also survived by four stepdaughters, and eventually nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, in addition to the five grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion.
