She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Neumann and Emma Neumann (Groth); her husband Lyle I. Bateman; and her siblings, Della Neumann, Dorothy Hogden and Robert Neumann.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim Bateman (Diane) of La Crescent and David Bateman (Gina) of Plymouth, MN; her grandchildren, Mark Bateman (Christy), Jodi Gibbons (James), Matthew Bateman (Shelby) and Peter Bateman (Katrina); and her great grandchildren, Greg, Emma Gibbons, Christian, Ayren Bateman and Charlotte Bateman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First Ev. Lutheran Church, La Crescent, Luther High School or Hiler Cemetery Association.
