Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Duane Zenke of La Crescent, Minnesota, born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, who passed away at the age of 84, on December 16, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Zenke and Maggie Zenke (Papenfuss); his daughter-in-law Karen Zenke (Horihan); and his brothers-in-law, Lavern Gile and Steven Ruud.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Papenfuss; his children, La Crescent, Hoyt (Cheryl), Kevin (Connie), Travis (Kathy), Barry (Cindy) and Letty Hornberg (Ray); his grandchildren, Dustin (Erica), Amber Thorson (Adam), Grant (Alyssa Kreibich), Brad McNally (Alison), Shana Wieser (Elliott), Tyler, Paul (Katie), Lee (Julia Dudley), Angela (Shelton Todd), Brandon (Courtney Brooks) and Ashley Van Loon (Nathan); his siblings, Jerry (Joan), Doreen Gile and Janie Hostrawser (Larry); and his sister-in-law Cheryl Ruud. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Those in attendance will be required to practice safe social distancing and wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church or school.
