He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Diekrager and Gertrude Diekrager (Boettcher); his sisters, Sylvia and Dorothy; and his son Thomas.
He is survived by: his spouse Nyla Steve; and his children, Dennis (Bonnie), Allan (Laurie) and Kristy Herrmann (Karl). He is also survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
