He was predeceased by: his parents, Sonny and Fran; and his brothers, James and Robert. He is survived by: his former wife Grace; his sons, Brian Jay of La Crescent and Jeff Daniel (Bridgette); his grandchildren, Braedan Michael and Kailee Marie; his sister Janann Anderson (Jim) of Swisher; his sister-in-law Patty Wellendorf of Lansing; his godchildren, Jamie Wellendorf and Tommy Bauer; and his close friends, George Horihan and Ray Dickson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorials be given to the La Crescent Youth Baseball and La Crescent Fire Department.
