It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carleton Papenfuss (La Crescent, Minnesota), born in Winona, Minnesota, who passed away on April 9, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Papenfuss and Bernice Papenfuss (Clow); and his siblings, James, Marion "Tiny", Allyn "Mike", Lawrence "Oscar", Alicia, Annabelle, Eunice and Rachel.
He is survived by: his wife Carol M. Dobrunz; his sons, Curtiss Papenfuss (Venetta) of Dakota and Mark Papenfuss (Mary) of La Crescent; his grandchildren, Felicia Olson (Scott), Jesse Papenfuss (Kayla) and Chad Papenfuss (Sarah McElroy); and his sister-in-law Donna Papenfuss. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
