He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Scheeler and Margaret Scheeler (Bichler); his wife Esther Midas; his daughter Nancy Scheeler-Kirchner; his great grandchild Axel Scheeler; his siblings, Jerome, Aloys "Al", Clarence, Alvina Knott and Margaret; his grandmothers, Marie Pope, Elsie Pope, Laura Pope and Regina Krippner; and his siblings, Ludwig and Cecelia.
He is survived by: his sister Sally Smoley of Sauk Rapids, MN; his sister-in-law Gertie Scheeler of Kimball, MN; his grandchildren, Kurt Scheeler (Lani), Heidi McDeid (Andy), Chris Scheeler, Kyle Scheeler, Ryan Kotschevar and Anna Jones (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Mathisen Kotschevar, Elizabeth, Eleanor Jones and Kaeden Scheeler; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Meadow and Charlee McDeid.
