He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Lynch and Elaine Lynch (Lotz); and his brothers, Theodore and Matthew. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Mensing (Daniel) of Blue Earth and Brian Lynch of Ft. Lauderdale; his grandchildren, Haley Ramos (Christopher) and Samuel Mensing; his great grandchildren, Jayce, Lyle, Arlo and Luca Ramos; his siblings, Mark of Minneapolis, Timothy (Barbara) of Stillwater, Christopher of Minneapolis, Daniel of Minneapolis, Mary of Minneapolis, Owen of Minneapolis, Anne Coughlin (Daniel) of Coon Rapids, Carol Quinn (John) of Golden Valley and Sarah Lynch of Minnetonka; his sister-in-law Tracy Lynch of Minneapolis; and his nephew Benjamin Sinnett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family friends in Costa Rica, and many friends.
Loren's generosity extended far beyond the classroom, as he was actively involved in counseling, mentoring, volunteering, and donating to various causes.
