It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gail Jeanne Ek of Kimball, Minnesota, who passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Maki and Linda Maki (Aho); her husband Clarence Ek; her children, Dean and Jean Anne; and her parents-in-law, Eric and Christina Ek.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kris Gruenes (Arnie) of Richmond and Debbie Allar (John) of Kimball; her grandchildren, Brian (Kristen), Samantha, Dustin, Zachary (Kim), Hannah (Chris), Arnie Jr., Ashley, Andy, Meaghan and Payton; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Nolan, Loretta, William, Lillian, Noah, Nathan and Levi; and her brother Roland Maki (MaryAnn). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Maine Prairie Township Hall (7551 Dellwood Rd, Kimball, MN 55353).
