It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Joseph Meierhofer of Kimball, Minnesota, born in Watkins, Minnesota, who passed away on June 6, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Meierhofer and Rose Meierhofer (Donnay); his former wife Velma Schackmann; and his brothers, Wilfred, Gerald and Alvin.
He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Gertken (Schreifels) of Cold Spring; his children, Dan (Marie) of Liberty, MO, Robert of Lake Elmo, Cheryl Protas of Paynesville and Julie Maruska of Mound; his grandchildren, Jason, Kari (Patrick), Matthew, Mikaela, Sara, Samuel, Joseph, Alex, Emma and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Patrick "Ricky" and Jaxson; his stepchildren, Rodney Gertken (Lois), Melissa Hilgers, Angela Kersman (Brad), Michelle Haag (Craig) and Lori Ruland (Ryan); and his sisters, Donna Rossman of St. Cloud, Marlene Meierhofer, Rose Ann Neu (Larry) of New Brighton and Marion Linn (Clarence) of Woodbury. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren; 1 step great-grandchild.
