He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Julia Eilertson (Jelle); his daughter Kathryn Eilertson; his siblings, Edward Eilertson (Hermoine), Lamar Eilertson, Agnes Jacobson (Arthur), Olina Gudal (Carl), Evangeline Flo (Gilman), Violet Iverson (Elmo) and Viola Rye (Clair); and his brother-in-law Ronn Yahnke.
He is survived by: his wife Mardelle Eilertson of Kiester, MN; his children, John Eilertson (Nancy) of Kiester, MN, Paul Eilertson (Rondell) of Bricelyn, MN and Sonja Eilertson of Mankato, MN; his grandchildren, Andrea Claassen (Ben) of St. Paul, MN, Michael Eilertson (Taryn) of Bricelyn, MN, Thomas Eilertson of Kiester, MN, Jared Eilertson of Kiester, MN, Ryan Eilertson of Ames, IA, Eryn Eilertson of Devil's Lake, ND and Ethan Eilertson of Bricelyn, MN; his great grandchildren, Lindyn, Cullen, Laramie Eilertson and Jalen Claassen; and his sister-in-law Opal Yahnke of Sherburn, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or donors choice.
