It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel J. Korhonen of Kettle River, Minnesota, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Daniel is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Daniel's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Korhonen and Ellen Korhonen; his wife Iva Korhonen; his siblings, Emma (Richard Silampa), Mae (Bud Vrana) and John Korhonen; and his close friend Shirley Carroll.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Korhonen and Paul Korhonen (Ann); his grandchildren, Joseph Korhonen (Amanda), Melissa Korhonen (Dave Plowman) and Zakary Korhonen; and his sister-in-law Virginia Korhonen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
