It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maurine Alma Olson of Kenyon, Minnesota, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Julian Eiken and Alma Eiken (Haase); her husband Roger Olson of Paul's Lutheran Church; her brother Jerome Maurice Eiken; her daughter-in-law Stacy Olson; and her siblings-in-law, Marion Wilder, Arla Olson, Nanette Eiken and Earl Olson.
She is survived by: her sons, David Olson (Amy), Mark Olson, Paul Olson (Patty Orton) and John Olson; her grandchildren, Ryan (Karlee), Michaela Spoden (Jason), Lucas (Ava Pinske), Elijah, Evan, Cameron (Jesse), Collier, Gyhre, Kyle and Orion Olson (Samuel Roosen); her great grandchildren, Henry, Jack, Charlie, Nicholas, Aubrey, Reagan, Jackson, Ryker, Vincent, Isabella, Albert, Bella, Jasmine and Adrian; her brother John Eiken; her nieces and nephews, Todd Eiken (Julie), Shawn Eiken (Dina), Daron Olson (Dani), Tracy Eiken and Kathy Goldberg (Mike); and also Claus Iverson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (309 Forest St, Kenyon, MN 55946).
Memorials are preferred to the Kenyon Library.
