She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Gess and Dorothea Gess (Leubke); her husband Paul Wilken; her daughter Mary; her son-in-law Alan Jacobson; and her sister Muriel Josephson (Alan).
She is survived by: her children, Gary Hessenius (Beverly), Mark Hessenius (Vickie), Craig Hessenius (Linda), Joel Hessenius (Lisa) and Diane Palumbo; her grandchildren, Lisa, Chris, Ryan, Tony, Eric, Ben, Heather, Leah, Elizabeth, Shannon, Jordan and Nicole; and her siblings, Audrey Neve (Ray), Patricia Perkins, Daniel Gess (Connie) and Gretchen Grey. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
