With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wilma Joyce Van Der Linden of Kenneth, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Vlietstra and Grace Vlietstra (Den Hartog); her husband John Van Der Linden; her granddaughter Jessica Wiekeraad; her brother Henry; her sister-in-law Maryanne Vlietstra; and her close friend Howard.
She is survived by: her children, James Van Der (Lorna) and Joyce Wiekeraad (Mark); her grandson Matthew (Heather); her great grandchildren, John, Cheyenne, Grace and Wyatt; her grandson Eric (Brittany); her great grandchildren, Damian and Greyson; her granddaughter Katie Rock (Brian); her great grandchild Gavin; her granddaughter Sabrina; and her siblings, Genevieve Hiserote (Gerald) of Sioux City, IA, Charlotte Vander Schaaf (Roger), Shirley Gochee (Robert) of Illinois City, IL, William Jr. Vlietstra (Judy) of Orange City, IA and Kenneth Vlietstra of Orange City, IA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Wilma's memorials will go to charities that supported her during her cancer journey.
