He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Eckel and Duna Eckel (Tonsager); and his siblings, Kermit Eckel, Keith Eckel and Patricia Eckel.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Eckel of Hancock; his son Dana Eckel (Sarah) of Morris; and his grandchildren, Lillian Zeltwanger and Andulynn Eckel.
