She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter William and Lena Marie Ahrens (Schmidt); her husband Lyle L. Emerson; and her granddaughter Billie Jo Gilbertson. She is survived by: her children, James Emerson (Colleen), Rick Emerson (Colleen) and Linda Lorentz. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
