He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis "Swede" Johnson and Leona Johnson (Beavens); his wife Janice Dimmel; his parents-in-law, Victor and Dorothy Dimmel; and his siblings, Susan and Bill.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Johnson (Jana) of New Ulm, Rich Johnson (Cherrie) of Janesville and Jay Johnson (Michelle) of Eden Prairie; his brother-in-law Stanley Dimmel (Marlene) of Janesville; and his grandchildren, Heidi Snell (Luke), Heather Anderson, Lindsey Dault (Steve), Jordan Johnson, Lucas Johnson and Kady Johnson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
