He is survived by: his wife LaJune Schmidt of Janesville; his sons, Joseph Schmidt (Darla) of St. Cloud and James Schmidt (Becky Todd) of Lake Wilson; his grandchildren, Bryant Schmidt (Lynsey), Austin Schmidt, Melina Schmidt, Christian Schmidt, Izik Schmidt, Kyle Gratke (Cindy), Kennedy Lundquist (James) and Shanna Todd; and his great grandchildren, Layton Schmidt, Madilyn Schmidt, Carter Solberg, Paisley Gratke, Kayden Gratke, Zaelyn Gratke and Brantley Gratke.
