He was predeceased by: his mother Marion Hagen (Rogers); and his brother Joel Hagen. He is survived by: his father James Hagen; his wife Marjorie (Compart-Zuehlke); his son Christopher Hagen (Tiffany) of Cleveland, Minnesota; his stepson Keith Zuehlke of Severn, Maryland; his grandchildren, Kaiser and Charlotte; his siblings, Jameson Hagen (Donita) of Janesville, MN, Janine Allison (Mark) of Steger and Joanne Parmley of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his former wife Wendy Willson-Dobie of St. Peter, MN.
