He is survived by: his sons, Michael Grotjohn (Kristie) of Willmar, Patrick Grotjohn of Jackson, Douglas Grotjohn of Willmar and Daniel Grotjohn (Derek) of Tulsa, OK; his grandchildren, Tara Grotjohn, Cody Grotjohn (Sierra), Brendon Grotjohn and Mallory Grotjohn (Benny); his former wife Mary Jane Grotjohn; his sister Judy Washek; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Friesen, Michelle Bergh (Mark), Peggy Foy (Bill), Lori Sifers and Liza Jensen (Jerome).
