She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Martin Nelson and Emma Nelson (Boehm); her husband Donald Handevidt; her children, Ron Handevidt of Mesquite and Colleen Loftsgaarden (Jeff) of Lakeville, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Jaclyn Rebman (Glen) and Ryan Loftsgaarden (Jason); her great grandchildren, Tait and Linnea; and her siblings, Emmy Simmering, Doris Kimmel, Jeanette Tungland, Gilmore Nelson and Vernon "Bud" Nelson. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Jackson Food Shelf or Salem Lutheran Church are preferred.
