It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurence Vacek of Jackson, Minnesota, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Vacek and Clara Vacek (Hayek); his son Mark Vacek; his brother Raymond Vacek; and his son-in-law Douglas Gruhlke.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Nelson; his daughter Kathleen Gruhlke of Iowa; his stepchildren, Jerry of Idaho, Terry, Emery and Mary of California; and also Emma Simmering. He is also survived by step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
