She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Kalmbrum and Beatrice Kalmbrum (Janzen); her husband Lester Fischer; her parents-in-law, John and Mary Fischer (Thomson); and her sister Virginia Babb.

She is survived by: her children, Theresa Fischer and Lawrence Fischer; her siblings, Jackie Staples, Joan Frey (Ray), Rosemary Schultz, Rosetta Helseth (David) and Donald Kalmbrum; and her brother-in-law Wayne Fischer (Janet). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
