Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Howard Nielsen (Jackson, Minnesota), born in Milaca, Minnesota, who passed away at the age of 87, on February 18, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Nielsen and Minerva Nielsen (Anderson); his brother Bob Nielsen; and his son Brian Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Nielsen (Wiese) of Jackson; his children, Joel Nielsen of Placerville, California, Paul Nielsen (Julie) of Ankeny, Iowa and Joy Tessmer (Michael) of Winfield, Kansas; his sister Ruth McCarthy of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Ross, LeighAnna Nielsen, Ryan Nielsen, Aideen and Madeline Tessmer; and his sisters-in-law, Bernice Mahnke of San Mateo and Marie Wiese of Austin, Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be made to Paws of Jackson.
