She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hample and Mary Hample (Hosek); her husband John Mellum; her siblings, Lloyd Hample (Mary), Henry Hample (Helen), Harry Hample (Annie), Roy Hample (Ardys) and Irene Handzus (Albert); her parents-in-law, Berger and Gea Mellum; and her siblings-in-law, Burt Mellum (Ina), Selma Berkness (Ray), Myrtle Berkness, Lillian Goede (Art) and Clara Mellum.
She is survived by: her sons, Pierce (Joey), Ron (Cindy) of Delano and Jerry of Jackson; her grandchildren, Chad Mellum (Shelley) of Soldotna, AK and Angie Merges (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Wynn and Ryan Merges of Fall City, WA; and her brother-in-law Reuben Mellum of Columbus, OH.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Belmont Lutheran Church (83971 510th Ave, Jackson, MN 56143).
