He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lietz and Margaret Lietz (Fier); and his brother Clarence. He is survived by: his wife Carol Appel; his grandchildren, Virgina Mack (Dennis), Ryan, Justin, Emily, Cindy Findorff (Karl), Alex, Megan, Roy Lietz (Penny), Kathy, Karen, Stacey, Shawn, Curt Lietz, Kelly, Cory, Pam Lozenski (Tom), Samantha, Lisa, Brady, Shannon Guimond (Steve), Josh, Andrew and Ellie; and his close friend MaryAnn Tykwinski. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
