He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Leibfried and Dorothy Leibfried (Burns); his brothers, Mark, Bruce and David Leibfried; his great-niece Kendra Leibfried; his father-in-law Arthur Koopman; and his brother-in-law David Koopman.

He is survived by: his wife Carmen Koopman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
