He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thelen and Lena Thelen (Humbert); his siblings, Teddy Humbert, Clarence Thelen, Eddie Thelen, Loretta Thelen, Rosie Winter and Isabelle Hansen; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Humbert, Marie Thelen, John Garmen, Clarence Winter and Ivan Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Vik; his sons, Rick Thelen (Kristine), Brent Thelen and Joe Thelen (Laura); his grandchildren, Christina, Amanda (Steven), Evangeline and Valeriana; and his great grandchildren, Georgie, Alex, Caroline and Charlie. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
