He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Charlotte Hermstad; his father Robert; his granddaughter Cheryl; his daughter Debee McGovern (Charlotte Stanius); his sister AnnaMae Gahlon (Strom); his daughter Cheryl Stanius-Deiman (David) of Minneapolis; his son-in-law Chuck McGovern (Debee) of Mora; his grandsons, David, Will Deiman, Drew McGovern (Allison), Rob McGovern and Clint McGovern (Monica); his great grandchildren, Cordelia, LuElla, Mavis, Wallace, Noah, Nevaeh, Colette and Margaret; and his sisters, Marjorie Stake of Los Gatos, CA and Ruthie Becklin of Cambridge, MN.
His cribbage buddies would come over every Friday morning to play, up until Covid: Bobby Peterson, Dave Muylaert and Denny Stanius.
