He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Wold and Eva Allram; his daughter Sandy Christensen; his sister Marcella Mitch; and his brothers-in-law, Don Mitch and Lloyd Hume.

He is survived by: his wife Myra Smith; his sister Janice Hume; his children, Richard Wold (Gail) and Suzanne Preston (Todd); his son-in-law Randy Christensen; his daughter Sonja Nelson (Jon); his stepgrandchildren, Neil (Angie), Jennissa (Ryan), Jarred (Samantha), Kendal (Kirk), Jenna (Saul), Nick (Cori), Katie (Josh), Jeremy (Nik), Sara (Greg), Kathryn (Jason), Matthew and Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Clara, Hazel, Aliciana, Ciera, Brodie, Lilly, Mavric, Brody, Junior, Siden, Saenna and Dylan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
