He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice; and his brothers, Wendell and Stanley. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Foesch (John) of Oconomowoc, WI, Lori Reinholz (Al) of Apple Valley, MN, Greg Clayson (Renelle) of Blaine, MN, Jeannine Jahnke (Randy) of Rochert, MN and Michele Clayson of Detroit Lakes, MN.; his grandchildren, Lisa Foesch, Johnny Foesch, Ryan Clayson (Kristi), Christopher Clayson (Mikyla), Trent Clayson (Stacey), Jessica Clayson and Justine McDonald (James); and his great grandchildren, Chace Clayson, Kennedy Clayson, Olivia, Noah, Drew Clayson and Jayna McDonald. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
