She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Oreskovich and Charline Oreskovich (Johnson); her former husband Richard Shafer; her husband David Hicks; and her brother Richard "Chuck" Oreskovich.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Shafer (Jodi) of Lakeville, Rick Shafer (Terri) of Crosby and Nikki Wassen (Kevin) of Crosby; her stepchildren, David Hicks (Ann) of Minnetonka, Rick Hicks of Apple Valley and Robyn Wagner of Maple Grove; and her siblings, Kim Oreskovich of Trommald, Victor "Keith" Oreskovich of Aitkin, Judith Karnowski (David) of New Brighton, Mardell Blom of Crosby and Sandra (John Freeman) of Deerwood. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
